Incorporating Systemic Constellations in Multi-Disciplinary Practices: A Training Workshop for Practitioners

Aimed for: Professionals who would like to explore ways how they can integrate this skill in their practice. Since the workshop is experiential it aims to support the personal and professional growth of the practitioners. The professionals include: psychotherapists, family therapists, psychologists, psychiatrists, counsellors, guidance teachers, social workers, child and youth care workers, support workers, clinical supervisors, leaders, managers and others.

Colleagues who attended the last workshop on systemic constellations will notice that in this workshop we will introduce the practice on how we use the constellations to reflect on our work with clients and systems. Clinical supervisors and leaders will find this training particularly relevant.

We will explore and practice: A more visual and dynamic ‘representation’ of self and relationships can allow us to understand aspects of ourselves and relationships which would not become ‘visible’ when we are only ‘talking about’ relationships.

This workshop is inspired by:

· the work of Bert Hellinger on systemic constellations,

· gestalt psychotherapy (example, externalisation and integration of polarities),

· systemic ideas (including structural family therapy),

· Jim Wilson’s mini-sculpting,

· an attachment and transgenerational framework,

· and a multi-sensory embodied way of working (expressive arts therapeutic modalities)

The aim is to demonstrate how this work can take place both:

· within a group with actual representatives

· and also on a one to one basis. In this case, instead of other participants, we use stones or objects available in the room or in our resources box to form the constellation.

I have been experiencing constellations over the past 25 years in the roles of client, therapist and supervisor. This clinical experience over the years enriched me with various ideas how this work can deeply support our practice.

In this workshop we will practice the following:

Ø how to use constellations to understand our own positioning within the system. The system includes both the clients, their own contexts and also us and the rest of the professional systems. The ability to take a meta-position with the people we are supporting and also within the professional helping team is crucial in supporting good practice.

Ø How to incorporate systemic constellations ideas in our reflexive practice and clinical supervision.

3. Participants will receive a receipt of payment on the email provided and will receive a certificate of attendance with the actual amount of CPD hours completed after completing the workshop. The certificate will reflect the hours actually completed so, please make sure you are present for the whole workshop.

4. Please note that it is on a first-come, first-served basis and therefore, your booking can only be confirmed after receiving payment and registration.

5. The payment is non-refundable unless due to the rare eventuality of the workshop being cancelled by the facilitator if the minimum number is not reached.

6.  Around a week before the workshop, you will receive an email with the location and some ideas on how to prepare yourself for the training.
